See All Reviews⚠️If you want bells and whistles when it comes to tacos… then this place is not for you!! This is a small volume Mexican spot. 🥇If you want a DELICIOUS true Puebla style taco.. this place is for you!🔥 There is NO menu They DON’T speak English The place sells produce outside ⭐️NOT ONE OF THESE THINGS IS A PROBLEM*🏆 Open your Google translate app & ask them what they are offering today, or open this review & show them that you would like to order 1 Gordita verde & 1 Gordita rojo papas con rajas Taco milanés con patata, queso oaxacán y jalapeños con cebolla y aguacate Quesadilla con champiñones y carnitas Now this is Spanglish… but they do understand! The Gordita is so delicious… stuffed with pork & topped with a green (mild) salsa or a red (medium spiced) salsa & grated cotija The corn tortilla is fried on a griddle and then what i would assume is placed under a broiler because there are pockets of char that send this over the top DELICIOUS!! The quesadilla is a handmade corn tortilla griddled & stuffed with cheese & lettuce & mushrooms & a superior carnitas that is perfectly fatty & seasoned Ask for both salsas (dos salsa para mi por favor, rojo y verde) The Milanese taco… the potato’s & the pork are the star… pounded in the kitchen (ask for Carla!!!) fried & served with a traditional Puebla style potato that is boiled, Skins removed & then pressed with jalapeño & some simple s&p, oaxacan cheese, avocado & served on 2 super thin corn tortilla (it’s so much deliciousness that it needs two) I cannot speak enough kind words for this family run operation that truly serves its community.. again.. there is very little English, the father speaks a little, the son speaks more, mom not a lot at all. Use technology & use your google translate & you will thank me! Someone tell Carla that I’m coming back to cook!
My partner and I went in for Tacos and there was obviously a language barrier. The lady said she didn’t speak English but she’ll get someone to help, she motioned for us to wait.. we waited for about 15mins before deciding to leave. There were only 2 other clients and they already had their food.. but we left because the staff just sat in the back looking at us. No one else came to try to help, no one said anything at all.. we did not at all feel welcomed. I would implore any black person to not give them your services. There were many other restaurants on the block that has the same things, give them your services instead.
The food is awesome. The tacos are huge.
